I build things.

Hi, I’m Jure, I’ve been writing code for a better half of my life. I’ve spent 13+ years building software across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and product, and these days my focus has shifted almost entirely to applied AI.

I’m a passionate self-learner, explorer, and builder. I spend most of my time building things, you can see some of my recent public work below.

In my work I make heavy use of AI and agentic coding tools, on which I regularly share my thoughts on X.

Outside of work, I build personal projects, make music, and create generative art at jdmnk.art.

Providing end-to-end consulting and development with a focus on applied AI, alongside the occasional Web3 project. Responsibilities span frontend and backend development, infrastructure, and technical planning.

Senior Applied AI Developer

2023 — 2025

Bitpanda, Vienna, Austria

Helped start and lead Bitpanda's AI team, working directly with the CTO to shape and deliver AI projects. Built production LLM chatbots, semantic search, and recommender systems — spanning LLM integrations, embeddings, RAG, agent architectures, data pipelines, and the supporting infra. TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, AWS and more.

Senior Frontend Developer

2021 — 2023

Bitpanda, Vienna, Austria

Developed and maintained the broker frontend for 7M+ users using Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.

Fullstack Developer

2019 — 2021

Bwin.Party (Entain), Vienna, Austria

Developed core CMS serving 100+ apps and websites. Built ExactTarget-based mailing solution processing 2M+ emails daily.

How I Work

My thoughts on coding

I believe code should be readable, simple, and friendly for both developers and AI tools. I prefer explicit implementations and minimal abstractions to keep behavior clear and maintainable.
